September 24th, 1945 marks the birth of Jalan Distributors Private Limited (JDPL). JDPL emerged
as a pioneer in the film industry in Eastern India.
It soon became a trade leader with banners like Filmistan and films like Nagin, Anarkali,
Munimji, Paying Guest and many more. The able guidance and dynamic leadership of its founder
Sri Shyam Lal Jalan, took the organisation to an enviable height.
The company's success was further embellished by his son with the home-coming of eminent
banners of the Bollywood Film Industry like Yashraj Films, Dharma Production, JP Films, Dreamz
Unlimited, Arclightz and Films and many others. And with films like Saajan, Dilwale Dulhania Le
Jayenge, Dil To Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mohabbatein. The list is endless!!!
At the prime of its popularity the company soon felt the need of a name to announce its own
banner. Very soon the film industry saw the emergence of Kushagra Arts. Kushagra Arts arose as
the fore front of JDPL. With a very pragmatic management at the helm, Kushagra Arts did not
need much time to reach the pinnacle of fame. It has been able to augment a name in the
industry and continues to climb to new zeniths.
Kushagra Arts has grown in its brilliance with sheer dedication to quality. It has
consciously embodied excellence in the field of production, distribution and exhibition.
With branches in Guwahati, Siliguri and Patna it plans to further its reach in other parts
of the country. As part of its exhaustive expansion plans, it has ventured into producing
Mega Bengali TV Serials branching out in the field of Television Software. A tie-up with
premiere halls like Menoka and Paradise only add to its crowning glories. Kushagra Arts
clearly stands out today because of the sensitivity it has shown towards the society in
terms of introducing more viable cinema and steadfastly maintaining healthy
entertainment! |
